Borla Leads Moose Milers Veterans
To National Championship!!!

Borla & Geer Win Individual Titles

Bill Borla led a team of 8 Moose Milers & Marathoners Veterans to their first national title at the USATF National Masters 5K Cross Country Championships in Saratoga Springs, New York on October 17th. Borla also won the individual crown in a new Moose Milers & Marathoners record of 18:14.

Bill Spencer & Peter Szawlowski rounded out the scoreing as we beat the Raritan Valley Track Club of New Jersey and the Greater Springfield Harriers of Massachusetts.

Danforth Geer also won a national title as he ran 42:49 to take the 85-89 title.

* Post Race Note: A snafu at USATF CT casued Bill Borla to be ruled ineligible to compete for the Moose Milers & Marathoners until January 1, 2005, thus the team was dropped to 3rd place in the official standinds --- but everyone --- even the team that was ruled the official champions --- agreed that the Moose Milers & Marathoners won the race where it counted --- on the field of battle.
