Milt Schumacher and Harry Carter led the Male Veterans Team to the USATF New England Gran Prix Half Marathon Championships at the New Bedford Half Marathon on March 20. Milt and Harry finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the individual USATF Championship, earning 9 and 8 points respectively. Steve Moland and Fred Zuleger rounded out the championship team.

Joann Mathews and Deirdre Bird also scored in the individual championship, with Joann earning 6 points for her 5th place Open finish, and Deirdre earning 5 points for her 6th place Senior finish.

The rest of teams finished in the middle of the pack due to a the smallest turnout of Moose Milers at this event in the past three years. Injuries kept at least a half dozen of our regular racers here on the sidelines. Despite the smaller than usual turnout, we took 10th place out of 28 teams in the overall championship.
