Moose Milers 5K Trail Run Series

A weekly series of 5K trail runs along the canal through scenic Mine Falls Park in Nashua, New Hampshire starting at Stellos Stadium

Monday nights at 6:00 PM from April 3 - April 24, 2006

Monday Nights at 6:30 PM from May 1 - September 11, 2005

The 5K course is very flat. The trails are wide and well-groomed.

Directions: Take exit 5W off the Everett Turnpike (Route 3) in Nashua. Turn right at the first set of lights after the Police Station. The entrance to Stellos Stadium is the first left. Race registration will be in the parking lot to the right of Stellos Stadium. The races will start approximately ¼ mile inside Mine Falls Park.

Entry Fee: $2.00 for youth 14 and under; $3.00 for ages 15-18; and $5.00 for all others. Discounts are available to pre-entries for 10 or more races in the series. Membership applications for both the Moose Milers & Marathoners and the Gate City Striders will be available for interested runners. Awards: Prizes will be given to the top male & female point scorers in the following divisions: 10 & Under; 11-14; 15-18; 19-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70+ provided at least 5 different runners participate in 5 races or more during each of the three 8-race segments. If an age division does not qualify for an award all runners in that age division will move up or down in division towards the open division to score. The overall Male & Female Champions of the whole 24 race series will win special awards.

Scoring: The overall winner of each race scores 100 points. All other finishers score points on a percentage basis of the winning time divided by their time. For example: if the winner runs 17:30; then a runner finishing in 18:00 scores 96 points; a runner finishing in 20:00 minutes scores 88 points; and a runner finishing in 24:00 scores 73 points.
